THE SKPSC BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Governing Board of SKPSC shall have general powers of administration and the exercise of all the powers granted to the Board of Directors of a corporation under section 36 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 68, otherwise known as the “Corporation Code of the Philippines”.
In addition, the Board has power to enact rules and regulations not contrary to law as may be necessary to carry out the purposes and functions of the college. It can also receive and appropriate all sums as may be provided for the support of the university or college, in the manner it may determine and in accordance with its description, in order to carry out the purposes and functions of the university or college.

The Board of Trustees of Sultan Kudarat Polytechnic State College was first organized last May 29, 1991, with Hon. Erlinda C. Pefianco, DECS Undersecretary, Presiding Officer, Hon. Nelson T. Binag, SKPSC OIC President, Hon. Maybelle de Guzman, Representing Sen. Angara, member, Hon. Estanislao V. Valdez, representing Cong. Padilla, member and NEDA Representative, member.
During the meeting, the Board of Trustees confirmed the Designation of Dr. Nelson T. Binag as an Officer-In-Charge of the Sultan Kudarat Polytechnic State College, effective June 1, 1991, also, the Board approved the following matters during the meeting, namely:
- Approved the continuation of the operation of the Secondary Education Program by the merged five (5) secondary schools with the SKPSC.
- The Board authorized Dr. Nelson T. Binag, OIC President, to follow up the release of the 1991 budget appropriated for the Secondary Education function of the College so as not to delay payment of salaries of secondary school teachers.
- The Board approved the offering of the SKPSC Short-Term Technical /Vocational courses to start during the second semester of school year 1991—1992
- The Board authorized Dr. Nelson T. Binag to study the possibility of reorienting the general secondary education curriculum into a skill-oriented curriculum.
